SpecEdge is a modular edge-AI sensing platform built for many missions. It enables early detection and material discrimination across multiple operational needs—from animal health monitoring with Disease-Slayer to UAS identification through material discrimination with Drone-Slayer.
Coming Fall 2026 SoilWatch
SpecEdge: SoilWatch is a rapid soil anomaly-detection platform that helps agriculture, environmental, and field operators detect moisture shifts, chemical composition changes, thermal anomalies, and disturbed ground before those problems are obvious to the eye.
We are early eye screening for IBK (pinkeye) in cattle and goats. Built to catch subtle tearing, redness, and early corneal haze so you can monitor and treat early — keeping losses out of your herd.
Giving you a critical head start on disease.
Our current MVP includes:
Mobile C-UAS: Providing preemptive wide-area detection of small UAS by exploiting spectral features for material discrimination.
A lot of innovation looks good in a lab or on a slide deck, but SpecEdge is being built where the work actually happens. My passion is turning advanced collection, sensing, and AI into practical tools for our customers.
With more than 20 years of experience as an RF Wireless Engineer supporting the Intelligence Community, we bring deep hands-on collection, field systems, and mission-focused technology experience to this work. That expertise is now being applied here in Nebraska, where TFS Energies is expanding SpecEdge and building field-ready technology from the heart of cattle country to austere places of the warfighter.
In addition, TFS Energies is now part of The Combine, Nebraska’s AgTech incubator and innovation ecosystem, as well as Nebraska I-Corps, a technology commercialization training program led by NUtech Ventures. Through The Combine and I-Corps, SpecEdge is moving from a technical prototype toward a production ready sensor system. These programs are helping define the customer, validate the market, refine how the technology should be deployed, and identify where SpecEdge can create the most value.
